TTRP has developed a unique line of specialized parts for toy train repair and is pleased to offer these at both retail and wholesale rates.

Please contact us for further information and wholesale pricing.

Window Material

TTRP is pleased to announce the introduction of our new replacement window material. This is used in various prewar trains, and is of the highest quality available. A special high tech digital technology has been used to accurately reproduce the color pattern and the ink is electro-statically applied to the film. The color is vibrant and will not scratch or rub off.

TTRP offers precut window strips that are 1 1/2" wide x 18" long, with about 17 1/2" of useable color material. Simply trim to length and width and glue into the window frame. One strip is enough material for two to three window panels. These have been made to fit the largest cars on the market...Lionel State cars.

Also available are solid sheets that are 3" wide x 18" long. These are used for various applications and allow you to make custom window panels by cutting shapes and gluing to a clear panel.

Lionel Prewar Brushplates

SLS-254-12

The SLS-254-12 brushplate was typically used on the small steam engines and electrics such as the 257, 258, 262, 259, 252, 253, and 254.

752M-56

The 752M-56 brushplate was typically used on larger O gauge motors such as the 616, 636,752, 250 (Hiawatha) and others.

SLS-27

The SLS-27 brushplate is used on the O-gauge "Super Motor" with is the rectangular motor used in a variety of electric locomotives such as the 253. This brushplate mounts on two brass posts.

Triangular BP

The Triangular brushplate is a very rare part that was used on the first two versions of the Lionel "Humpback" motor. This would have been used in the 700 series locos and early 150 series locos. TTRP is making a small quantity of these brushplates and will also offer brush tubes and caps for replacement. Please call if you need parts to repair your original.

SM-50 Super Motor BP

The SM-50 brushplate is used on the earlier Standard gauge Super Motor. It is a metal brushplate with a fiber board insert. The brushplate is supplied with new springs and a 4-40 x 3/16" mounting screw. This brushplate will work on all styles of Super Motors, including the later version that came with a fiber brushplate.

Drum Commutators for Super Motor and Bild-A-Loco

TTRP is the exclusive supplier of these drum style commutators in the USA. These commutators are very high quality and will withstand high temperature and torque. They have been installed and tested extensively and will provide for long wear. The core is bored for a 0.125 shaft and will need to be shimmed for most armatures (which have a 0.112 shaft). Also, they fit much better if you trim a small bit of the black insulation off of the back of the commutator (the end that fits against the lamination)

The following pictures are provided to demonstrate the fit on both Super and BAL motors. We do not sell armatures and recommend that you contact www.trainrefs.com for information on complete armatures or armature rebuilding.
